WHAT IS ME REGION IN LAPTOP BIOS IC ?
What is ME Region? Intel Management Engine is a part of BIOS/UEFI, Management or Trusted Execution Engine (CSME /CSTXE/ME/TXE, holds the Engine firmware which has been configured for a specific system) and the BIOS.which is responsible for adjusting CPU clock, EIST, power saving stages etc. its can be either Stock or Extracted Stock : RGN, clean/stock/unconfigured images provided by Intel to OEMs Extracted : EXTR, dirty/extracted/configured images from various SPI/BIOS, this firmware at the system's SPI/BIOS chip is always EXTR.
